New Delhi (India) August 5 :<\/strong> The 5th\u00a0season of Mrs. India Empress of the Nation 2024 by DIVA pageants held in Pune, recently, saw 54\u00a0confident, charming and charismatic\u00a0women from all walks of life share the stage, leaving the audience in absolute awe that night.<\/p>\n

One amongst these was an amazing woman wearing many hats \u2013 Meenu Srivastava, from Lucknow \u2013 a Principal, and an educationist for the past 27 years, a social worker and a pickle-maker, who bagged the title of \u2018Mrs Refreshing Beauty!\u00a0She was crowned by\u00a0singer Meghna Naidu, famous for her super-hit song \u2018Kaliyon ka Chaman\u2019. This grand event was graced by illustrious celebrities such as actress and former Miss India Isha Koppikar.<\/p>\n

A multi-faceted personality \u2013 this passionate Principal has been in the education field since the last 27 years (10 years as Principal), but there is no stopping her. She has her hands full \u2013 \u201cI love teaching. That love has led me to conduct a lot of literacy campaigns, women education workshops, women empowerment campaigns, creating awareness of mental health in students and supported as many students as I could, to pursue their basic schooling. I believe we should leave a little glitter wherever we go\u201d, she beams.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And what prompted her to participate in this pageant? \u201cI always dreamt of being a part of this grandeur. But couldn\u2019t due to my hectic work schedules. Both my daughters \u2013 Devanshi, who is a journalist in Pune with a leading media house and Rishika, also studying in Pune at Symbiosis, were aware of my ambition, and encouraged me to venture into this,\u00a0My daughters are not only my support system but also my cheer leaders who inspire me to be the empowered woman that I am today. Its thanks to their motivation that I confidently walked on this\u00a0prestigious platform, and proudly took home the crown\u201d, she smiles.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut my win is incomplete without a huge thanks to\u00a0Anjana and Karl Mascarenhas, founders of DIVA Pageants\u00a0(www.divapageants.com<\/a>),\u00a0known to be the most authentic and safest pageants for women in India.\u00a0From day one I knew I was at the right place. The dedication of Anjana mam and Karl sir towards grooming each participant is unparalleled\u201d, she adds.<\/p>\n

And what else keeps this lovely lady occupied? She loves cooking too and Meenu has a passion for pickles and has started her own brand, \u201cMa\u2019am ka aachar\u201d. She was also featured on Doordarshan TV, sharing her pickle-making expertise.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That\u2019s not all \u2013 she also has her own\u00a0NGO\u00a0\u2013 she is the\u00a0Founder of \u2018ASHA \u2014 Rising Foundation\u2019\u00a0(named after her mother, Asha Srivastava), which helps underprivileged children. \u201cI get a lot of joy in helping educate needy children, and am currently sponsoring the education of ten kids\u201d, says Meenu, who has bagged a lot of awards in the field of education.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What\u2019s more \u2013 her love for cars prompted her to participate in a Car Rally, and she emerged a winner, bagging the title of\u00a0\u2018DIVA on Wheels\u2019! \u00a0<\/p>\n

Tough times don\u2019t last, tough people do!\u2019 \u2013 this is the mantra that Meenu Sr\u00edvastava from the \u2018City of Nawabs\u2019 lives by.<\/p>\n
