Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 28: <\/strong>In a significant move to boost employment opportunities and Maharashtra\u2019s industrial growth, the Government of Maharashtra, under the leadership of Hon\u2019ble\u00a0Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis\u00a0and\u00a0Industries Minister Uday Samant, signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with\u00a0Viraj Profiles Private Limited (VPPL)\u00a0at the 55th<\/sup>\u00a0World Economic Forum\u2019s Annual Meeting in Davos. The agreement, worth\u00a0INR 12,000 crore, will facilitate the establishment of an\u00a0Integrated Stainless Steel Plant\u00a0in Palghar, Maharashtra, creating\u00a03,500 jobs\u00a0and driving socio-economic development in the tribal region.<\/p>\n

With this investment, Viraj Profiles aims to strengthen India\u2019s position in the global stainless steel sector while contributing to Maharashtra\u2019s growth story. The project will leverage advanced technologies and sustainable practices, creating employment opportunities in the region.<\/p>\n

The MoU was signed in the presence of\u00a0Mr. Neeraj Raja Kochhar, Chairman and Managing Director of Viraj Profiles, along with his son\u00a0Mr. Dhruv Kochhar, reaffirming the company\u2019s commitment to the development of the state.
