Addis Ababa [Ethiopia], April 2:<\/strong> <\/span>The Information Network Security Agency (INSA) and the Artificial Intelligence Agency of Ethiopia, in collaboration with key government and industry stakeholders, have announced the Ethiopian Tech Expo 2025 \u2013 ETEX 2025. The event, scheduled for May 16-18, 2025, at the Addis International Convention Center, will be organized and managed by QNA.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed\u00a0<\/strong>emphasized Ethiopia\u2019s commitment to its digital transformation, stating, \u201cWe have made significant strides as a nation since beginning our digital transformation journey. Digital Ethiopia 2025 empowers us to thrive in the digital economy, necessitating support for innovators and the\u00a0<\/em>creation of digital enablers.<\/em>\u201d\u00a0He\u00a0encouraged\u00a0global\u00a0innovators\u00a0and\u00a0investors\u00a0to\u00a0attend\u00a0ETEX\u00a02025\u00a0to\u00a0explore opportunities within Ethiopia\u2019s tech ecosystem.<\/p>\n

ETEX 2025 will showcase Ethiopia\u2019s advancements\u00a0in\u00a0cybersecurity,\u00a0<\/strong>artificial intelligence, fintech, smart cities<\/strong>, and\u00a0tech startups<\/strong>, aligned with the Digital Ethiopia 2025 strategy and the\u00a0African Union\u2019s Agenda 2063. It will position Ethiopia as a leading technology hub in Africa.<\/p>\n

As\u00a0H.E.\u00a0Dr.\u00a0Worku\u00a0Gachena<\/strong>,\u00a0Director\u00a0General\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Ethiopian\u00a0Artificial\u00a0Intelligence\u00a0Institute,\u00a0stated,\u00a0\u201cETEX 2025\u00a0will showcase Ethiopia\u2019s tech-driven transformation, highlighting\u00a0our strides in\u00a0AI, cybersecurity, and innovation. This expo will serve as a platform for global collaboration, positioning Ethiopia as a leader in Africa\u2019s digital future.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The event is expected to attract over\u00a010,000 attendees<\/strong>, including global tech leaders, policymakers, industry pioneers, and startups.
