Surat (Gujarat) [India] May 29<\/b>: Environmentalist and social activist Viral Desai, popularly known as the \u201cGreenman\u201d, will begin a seven-day tree-planting campaign on June 5 in observance of World Environment Day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Desai\u2019s unwavering commitment to urban greening and conservation is evident in the effort to plant 1,000 trees in Surat and Navsari.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to increasing the amount of greenery in the Maroli, Kadoli, Sarthana, and Sachin regions, the campaign will raise public awareness of citizens\u2019 ecological responsibilities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis year, our campaign is inspired by the life and ideals of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, whose 150th birth anniversary we commemorate,\u201d said Viral Desai. \u201cHis emphasis on cleanliness, unity, and environmental harmony continues to guide our work.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
