Surat (Gujarat) [India], May 30:<\/b> Renowned environmentalist and social activist Viral Desai, fondly known as the \u201cGreenman,\u201d is set to launch a seven-day tree plantation campaign starting June 5, marking World Environment Day. The initiative will see 1,000 trees planted across Surat and Navsari as part of his ongoing mission to foster ecological responsibility and civic unity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rooted in Desai\u2019s long-standing environmental movement, \u2018Satyagraha Against Pollution and Climate Change,\u2019 the campaign carries forward his vision of turning ideology into tangible impact. To date, the movement has mobilised over 2 lakh green volunteers and facilitated the planting of more than 6.5 lakh trees across Gujarat.<\/span><\/p>\n
