Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 18:<\/strong> <\/span>Eco Recycling Limited (BSE: ECORECO), India\u2019s pioneering and leading professional e-waste management company, provided an update on expanded capacities of e-waste & li-ion battery recycling. The increased recycling capacities will enhance Ecoreco\u2019s foot print in the recycling volume of waste electrical & electronic waste and Li-ion batteries and support producers to meet their incremental quantitative obligations under the E-Waste Management Rules, 2022.<\/p>\n

The company has enhanced its overall e-waste processing capabilities with a focus on lithium-ion battery recycling\u2014one of the fastest-growing segments in the e-waste stream.\u00a0With this expansion,\u00a0Ecoreco\u2019stotal\u00a0capacity now stands at 31,200 MTPA, reinforcing its position as a frontrunner in the formal e-waste recycling space.<\/p>\n

Key Capacity Expansion Highlights:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Total e-waste recycling\u00a0capacity\u00a0has been\u00a0increased by 18,000 MTPA<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Dedicated\u00a06,000 MTPA facility\u00a0has been\u00a0commissioned for lithium-ion\u00a0(Li-ion) battery recycling<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0In its new 40,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art plant located in Vasai, an industrial hub near Mumbai<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Entire investment funded through\u00a0internal accruals, reaffirming the company\u2019s zero-debt status<\/p>\n

This\u00a0timely\u00a0expansion positions Ecoreco\u00a0to support the growing compliance needs of electronic producers under Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) norms. With the government\u2019s introduction of the centralized EPR portal and Environmental Compensation (EC) provisions for non-compliance, the industry is witnessing a strong shift toward formalisation\u2014an area where Ecoreco\u00a0continues to lead.<\/p>\n
