A beginning of simplified trade, trusted compliance, and shared prosperity,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0he declared.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed that\u00a0<strong>98% of UK firms exporting to India are SMEs<\/strong>, while\u00a0<strong>India\u2019s 60 million MSMEs contribute nearly 30% of its GDP<\/strong>, making it essential that the FTA\u00a0<strong>enables direct listing for Indian startups on the London Stock Exchange (AIM)<\/strong>\u00a0and unlocks\u00a0<strong>\u00a338 billion worth of Indian public procurement for UK firms.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From\u00a0<strong>zero tariffs on Indian textiles and gems<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0<strong>reduced duties on UK whisky and vehicles<\/strong>, Patel cited tangible sectoral gains that benefit entrepreneurs on both sides. He urged leaders to see this as more than tariff reduction \u2014 to see it as an\u00a0<strong>entrepreneurial bridge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe must move beyond the \u2018Free Trade Agreement\u2019 and evolve it into a \u2018Founder &amp; Trade Agreement\u2019 \u2014 because the real engine of economic growth is the entrepreneur,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0he added.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Addressing Wealth &amp; Talent Reverse Migration<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>In a bold segment of his speech, Patel drew attention to a critical shared challenge: the\u00a0<strong>reverse migration of wealth and talent<\/strong>\u00a0faced by both India and the UK.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIn the UK, a 40% inheritance tax is prompting many international families to relocate capital. In India, regulatory opacity and limited structuring flexibility are doing the same.
