New Delhi [India], August 5: <\/strong>Cycling enthusiasts Ankit Krishna, an acclaimed film producer and actor, and Rajesh Kunte, a renowned visa and immigration consultant, have embarked on an inspiring 1,400+ km cycling expedition from Mantralaya, Mumbai, to the Parliament in Delhi via National Highway 48 (NH48). Their mission: to raise national awareness about the urgent need for better road infrastructure and safety in India.<\/p>\n

The ride, which began on\u00a0July 28, is expected to span\u00a015\u201320 days, covering more than\u00a025 major towns and cities\u00a0en route.<\/p>\n

A Ride with a Purpose<\/h3>\n

The key objective of this initiative is to shine a spotlight on the challenges faced by daily road users and urge both the\u00a0Government of India\u00a0and the\u00a0Ministry of Road Transport & Highways\u00a0to take\u00a0concrete steps\u00a0toward improving the\u00a0condition, safety, and accessibility\u00a0of India\u2019s national highways \u2014 particularly NH48, one of the country\u2019s busiest economic lifelines.<\/p>\n

\u201cNH48 connects major economic hubs, yet many stretches are unsafe, poorly maintained, and lack proper signage or cyclist lanes,\u201d said\u00a0Ankit Krishna, before setting off. \u201cBy cycling this route ourselves, we want to demonstrate the ground reality and inspire action.\u201d<\/p>\n
