Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 20: <\/span><\/strong>Tata Projects Limited<\/strong>, one of India\u2019s leading technology-led engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies<\/em> and a key part of the Tata Group<\/em>, has been selected by SAF One Energy Management Limited<\/strong> as its EPC partner<\/em> for a HEFA-based (Hydroprocessed Esters and Fatty Acids) Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project<\/strong> in the Middle East.<\/p>\n

Advancing the transition to\u00a0low-carbon aviation<\/em>, the project will convert\u00a0used cooking oil (UCO)<\/em>\u00a0and other\u00a0waste oils and fats<\/em>\u00a0into SAF, playing a pivotal role in\u00a0regional and global decarbonization<\/em>\u00a0by enabling the production of\u00a0low-carbon aviation fuel<\/em>\u00a0and reducing dependence on\u00a0conventional fossil-based jet fuel<\/em>.\u00a0It also\u00a0marks an important milestone in\u00a0SAF One\u2019s plans<\/em> to develop a global portfolio of Sustainable Aviation Fuel facilities<\/span>, including one in India<\/em>.<\/p>\n

As\u00a0an EPC partner<\/em>,\u00a0Tata Projects<\/strong>\u00a0will deliver an\u00a0integrated, scalable project solution<\/em>, leveraging its approach of\u00a0standardised designs<\/em>,\u00a0advanced construction methodologies<\/em>, and\u00a0optimised modular execution strategies<\/em>.\u00a0This approach is aimed at improving schedule predictability<\/em>, optimising capital efficiency<\/em>, and enabling faster replication<\/em> of SAF facilities across multiple geographies.<\/p>\n

The project configuration integrates globally proven process technologies<\/em> for feedstock pre-treatment and hydroprocessing<\/em>, ensuring flexibility across multiple waste-based feedstocks<\/em> and compliance with ASTM D7566 international SAF specifications<\/em>. Tata Projects\u2019 role encompasses overall project integration<\/em>, constructability-driven design development<\/em>, and execution readiness<\/em> for a first-of-its-kind SAF facility<\/em> in the region.<\/p>\n
