Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 5:<\/strong> The inaugural India edition of the\u00a0Global Mental Math Olympiad (GMMO) 2026<\/strong>\u00a0was held at A.M. Naik School, Powai, marking a historic milestone for competitive mathematics in the country. Hosted\u00a0by Live Math Competitions and League (LiveMCL)<\/strong>, the event brought together\u00a0500 participants from schools and institutes<\/strong>\u00a0across India, Malaysia, the UAE, Seychelles, and Romania.<\/p>\n

Participants competed in four age categories:<\/strong>\u00a0Challenger (6\u20138 years), Master (9\u201311 years), Grandmaster (12\u201315 years), and Grandmaster Open (16 years and above). The competition featured a Standard Mandatory Challenge, an Addition & Subtraction Sprint\u00a0Challenge, and a Multiplication Sprint\u00a0Challenge.<\/p>\n

Conducted entirely on Live Math Competitions and League\u2019s proprietary\u00a0Competition\u00a0platform \u2013 Arena by LiveMCL \u2013 the event delivered a seamless digital experience. Participants competed on pre-installed tablets with a live leaderboard displaying instant scores and rankings, creating a transparent, high-stakes, and spectator-friendly environment.<\/p>\n

Young mental math athletes from\u00a0Malaysia, UAE, Seychelles, and Romania<\/strong>\u00a0joined their Indian counterparts, creating a vibrant, multicultural atmosphere that celebrated the universal language of numbers.<\/p>\n
