Mohit Shrotriya: From France’s Luxury Culture to the Making of Orelli Paris

Posted on August 12, 2026 By

New Delhi [India], August 12: Some of Mohit Shrotriya’s most important business lessons did not come from a boardroom.

They came from France.

Living and studying across places such as Paris, La Rochelle, Poitiers and the South of France gave Mohit Shrotriya an opportunity to observe something that is difficult to capture in a business textbook: why certain brands become trusted, why some products acquire cultural value, and why luxury is often communicated without saying very much at all.

What stayed with him was not the price attached to a luxury product. It was the discipline behind it  the attention to detail, the restraint in presentation, the quality of service and the consistency with which a brand presents itself.

Those observations would eventually become part of the thinking behind Orelli Paris, the premium skincare house founded by Mohit Shrotriya by bringing together French elegance and next-generation Korean skin science.

But Orelli Paris is only one part of Mohit’s professional journey.

A Career Built Between Different Markets

Born in India, Mohit Shrotriya developed his academic and professional career across France, Canada, Europe and North America. That experience has given him a broad view of how markets behave across cultural boundaries.

Mohit describes his work as sitting at the intersection of entrepreneurship, culture, consumer economics, aesthetics and sustainability. His interest is not limited to what consumers purchase. He is interested in the reasons behind those choices   how trust develops, how identity influences decisions, how cultural signals affect perception and why certain ventures succeed in rapidly changing societies.

This has also shaped his work as an independent researcher.

Mohit’s research examines subjects including fast-advancing societies, consumer capital formation, trust, identity and culture-driven entrepreneurship. His independent research has been published on SSRN and indexed by Google Scholar, adding an academic dimension to a career that has also included entrepreneurship and international business.

His academic qualifications reflect that international orientation. He holds an MBA in International Business Management from Université du Québec à Montréal in Canada, an MSc in Management & Commerce International from Université de Poitiers in France and an MS in International Business Management from Excelia Group in France. His executive education has included international business law, private equity and venture capital, portfolio and risk management, green fiscal policy and forensic accounting.

What France Taught Mohit About Premium Brands

For Mohit Shrotriya, France was more than an academic destination. It became a reference point for understanding how premium businesses create perception.

During his time in the country, he encountered luxury through different settings beauty, hospitality, architecture, service and high-end consumer environments. The common thread was not excess. It was control.

The smallest details could influence how an experience was remembered. The presentation of a product, the language used by a brand, the design of a space or the manner in which a client was treated could all contribute to a sense of value.

That experience reinforced an idea that would later appear repeatedly in Mohit’s entrepreneurial work: premium positioning cannot be manufactured through appearance alone. It has to be supported by consistency.

It also changed the way he looked at consumer behaviour.

A consumer does not always choose on the basis of utility. Trust, aspiration, cultural familiarity, aesthetics and personal identity can all become part of the decision. For someone studying consumer economics and culture-driven entrepreneurship, these were not peripheral observations. They became subjects worth examining more closely.

The Idea Behind Orelli Paris

The beauty industry eventually provided a practical setting for those ideas.

Mohit saw an opportunity between two distinct approaches to modern skincare. French beauty offered a language of elegance, restraint and refinement. Korean skincare had developed a reputation for its sophisticated approach to hydration, active-led formulations, skin-barrier care and textures.

Orelli Paris was created around the intersection of these influences.

The brand’s proposition is not built around making skincare louder or more complicated. Instead, it aims to create a more considered premium skincare experience, with attention to radiance, tone correction, hydration, repair and barrier care.

This is where Mohit’s background becomes particularly relevant to the brand.

He is not approaching skincare simply as a product category. His understanding of culture and consumer trust informs how he thinks about the brand itself from its positioning to the experience it is intended to create.

In that sense, Mohit Shrotriya, founder of Orelli Paris(Certified Skincare Brand In India), is building a premium skincare brand shaped by French elegance, Korean skin science and a research-led understanding of consumer trust.

Where Research Meets Entrepreneurship

There is a clear connection between the questions Mohit explores as a researcher and the businesses he chooses to build.

His research asks how culture, trust, identity and perception influence entrepreneurial outcomes. His experience in international business gives him an opportunity to see those forces operating in actual markets.

That connection is important because premium consumer businesses are rarely built on product specifications alone.

A skincare formula may explain what a product does, but it does not entirely explain why someone trusts one brand over another. Design can attract attention, but it does not necessarily create long-term credibility. A brand can enter a market with an interesting concept, but sustaining its position requires consistency.

Mohit’s approach is to consider these elements together.

It is also why Orelli Paris is being developed as a premium beauty house rather than positioned simply as another fast-moving skincare label. The stated direction includes product innovation, retail partnerships, digital commerce and expansion into international markets while maintaining a clear brand identity.

Beyond Beauty

The same thinking extends into Mohit’s work outside the beauty industry.

He is also the founder of Pradeep Global Foundation, an Indo-French non-profit initiative working around sustainability, social empowerment and international cooperation. The foundation’s work has included sustainability awareness and an Indo-French Sustainable Development Awareness Program in collaboration with NCC India.

This provides another perspective on Mohit’s entrepreneurial philosophy.

For him, sustainability and social responsibility are not separate from business thinking. His experience with the foundation has reinforced his view that broader ideas such as responsible development and women’s empowerment have value only when they are connected to practical action.

Mohit’s professional experience has also extended into luxury services, concierge, real estate and international business development across Europe, including work involving high-value international environments.

Across these different areas, the industries may change, but the underlying interest remains similar: understanding people, markets and the factors that create lasting value.

Building for an International Market

The next phase of Mohit’s work is centred on international growth.

His ambition is to develop Orelli Paris into an internationally recognised beauty house, with markets across Europe, the Middle East, the United Kingdom and North America forming part of the longer-term vision.

The objective is not simply to put the brand in more countries. Mohit wants to establish a business with a consistent product identity, a refined visual language, transparent active-led skincare and enough credibility to build lasting relationships with consumers and retail partners.

At the same time, he intends to continue developing his research around consumer trust, culture, identity, aesthetics and fast-advancing societies, while expanding his entrepreneurial interests across beauty, luxury and sustainability.

That combination may ultimately be what distinguishes his profile.

Mohit Shrotriya: From France’s Luxury Culture to the Making of Orelli Paris-PNN

A Founder With More Than One Lens

It would be easy to describe Mohit Shrotriya simply as the founder of Orelli Paris. The description would be accurate, but incomplete.

His work brings together several different worlds: an Indian entrepreneurial foundation, years of experience in France and Europe, international business education, independent research, premium consumer ventures and social-impact work through Pradeep Global Foundation.

Orelli Paris sits at the centre of many of those experiences.

French culture influenced Mohit’s understanding of refinement. Korean skincare science provided a modern formulation perspective. His research brought questions around trust, identity and consumer behaviour into the equation. His international experience added an understanding of how differently markets can interpret the same product or brand.

The result is a business philosophy that is less concerned with making noise and more concerned with creating something that can withstand attention over time.

For Mohit Shrotriya, that is the larger ambition to build businesses that are commercially relevant, culturally aware and capable of earning trust across markets.

Orelli Paris is his latest expression of that idea.
