SharpLight Technologies Enters India with Doctor-Led Platform Built for All Skin Tones and Types, with a promise of Safety and efficacy.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 13: SharpLight Technologies, a global medical aesthetics company with more than 20 years of R&D in light & energy-based treatments, today announced the launch of SharpLight Technologies India at CosdermIndia 2026. On the 29th annual congress of the Cosmetic Dermatology Society of India, held August 6–9 at The Westin Powai, Mumbai.

  • Global medical aesthetics leader launches SharpLight Technologies India at CosdermIndia 2026, Mumbai
  • One upgradeable platform for hair removal, pigmentation, acne, anti-ageing & body contouring designed for India’s diverse patients & clinics

The company enters India with a direct local operations and a platform built on a simple clinical principle: the doctor should control the treatment, not the machine. With its Patented Dynamic Pulse Control (DPC™) technology. SharpLight systems allow practitioners to adjust how energy is delivered, enabling one device to safely treat a wide range of conditions and a wide range of skin tones.

“India is not just a large market. It is one of the most diverse patient populations in the world, served predominantly by doctor-led dermatology clinics,” said Kuntal Debgupta, who leads SharpLight Technologies India and also serves as Director of International Distribution for Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. “Our goal is not to sell boxes. It is to partner with clinics and help them deliver safe, effective treatments to the patient sitting in front of them, today and as their practice grows.”

Why India, Why Now?

India’s medical aesthetics market is growing steadily, with an estimated annual growth of 8–9%. According to Mordor Intelligence’s January 2026 India report, roughly 45% of spending on aesthetic treatments occurs in doctor-led dermatology clinics. Hair removal remains the largest single treatment category, while body contouring and demand from patients aged 18–34 and male patients are growing faster than the overall market.

These are precisely the areas where SharpLight’s platform excels. The company’s systems are already used for more than 100 million treatments worldwide across 60+ countries and 5,000+ clinic partners.

For India, the lead product is the Rapid Elite & Rapid Phantom  Unlike many legacy Laser – Light-based systems calibrated for lighter skin, the Patented technology  is designed to treat the full range of skin tones, including the deepest, as well as tanned skin — a year-round consideration in India. It does this without relying on the type of laser historically required for darker skin, and without disposable parts, helping clinics manage treatment costs as volumes grow.

One Platform, Many Treatments

SharpLight’s portfolio is built around two families:

OmniMax: All-in-one workstations combining DPC™, radiofrequency, infrared and laser technologies. The flagship  OmniMax S4 can deliver more than 60 treatment types, from hair removal and acne to pigmentation, vein work, scar resurfacing, tattoo removal, body contouring and skin tightening.

Rapid Platform : Specialist devices focused on one or two treatments. The range includes Rapid DPC Pro for multi-condition care across all skin tones, Rapid Smooth and Rapid DPC for entry-level practices, Rapid Vanish for veins and redness, Rapid Tight for skin tightening. Rapid Contour and Rapid Firm for body and facial shaping, Rapid QS for tattoos and pigment, and Rapid Peel for scar resurfacing.

A key commercial advantage for Indian clinics: SharpLight machines are upgradeable. A practice can start with a Rapid device and later add capability to an OmniMax, rather than replacing equipment. Systems also use no disposable parts, so per-treatment costs do not increase with volume.

Rapid Phantom :  The Most advanced Diode Laser platform for laser hair removal for all skin types . Its patented technology with Dual mode delivery for pain free treatment . It’s very safe for all skin colour and for male and female  clients . The fast treatment and comfort gives a great experience for the patient with highest safety .

Built in Clinics, For Clinics:

SharpLight was founded in 2004 in Israel inside the American Laser Group, one of the country’s largest chains of skin clinics. That origin shaped its culture: products are tested in daily practice before they reach the market, and training is treated as part of the product.

In India, SharpLight will deliver the same model. Training combines classroom theory with hands-on practice under company clinical trainers, with online options, expert webinars, live demonstrations, and free refresher sessions for certified clinics. After-sales support includes technical help, tiered warranties, a loan-machine scheme, and marketing support. A dedicated online portal will provide clinical guides, training videos and patient-education resources.

“Doctors here don’t need another machine with locked settings and high consumable cost ” Mr Debgupta added. “They need tools that adapt to Indian skin, and a partner who stays after the sale. That is what we are building from day one.”

Alex Kleiman, Global CEO Sharplight Israel added: “India is one of the world’s most exciting aesthetics markets, driven by innovation, clinical excellence and rapidly evolving patient expectations. Our commitment is to bring globally proven technologies, comprehensive clinical education and world-class service to empower dermatologists and aesthetic physicians across the region.”

Yogev Meushar, Consul- Head of Economic & Commercial Mission, Trade IL Mumbai said : “SharpLight Technologies’ launch in India reflects the growing strength of the India–Israel innovation partnership, bringing together Israeli technological excellence and India’s dynamic healthcare and aesthetics market. This collaboration is more than a market entry — it is a step toward building long-term cooperation in advanced medical aesthetics, knowledge exchange, and accessible innovation that can benefit patients, practitioners, and the broader wellness ecosystem across India. We are excited to support this journey and to see it contribute to deeper business and innovation ties between both the countries”

CosdermIndia 2026: Hands-On Debut :

At CosdermIndia 2026, SharpLight Technologies India will focus on demonstration over presentation. The team will host hands-on workshops and live demos, allowing dermatologists to experience DPC™ control first-hand and discuss treatment protocols for Indian patients.

The company’s four priorities for the launch are: establish the SharpLight name among Indian dermatologists , plastic surgeon and Aesthetic physician demonstrate the technology in practice, sign an initial group of partner clinics, and build long-term relationships with leading doctors and medical media.

Following the congress, SharpLight Technologies India will roll out sales, service and training coverage starting with major metro cities, with plans to expand further. The India operation will also serve as a base for SharpLight’s growth across Asia.
