Legistify Crosses 350+ Enterprise Clients as AI Adoption Reshapes India’s Legaltech Market

Posted on October 10, 2026 By

Gurugram (Haryana) [India], October 9: India’s legal technology market is entering a different phase. Enterprise buyers who once treated legal software primarily as a back-office utility are increasingly evaluating AI-enabled legal platforms as part of broader digital transformation initiatives. Amid that shift, Gurugram-based AI-first legal operations platform Legistify has crossed a significant threshold of its own: more than 350 enterprise clients.

The number matters less as a standalone statistic than as a signal of the changing role of legal technology inside enterprises. Legistify says the milestone reflects demand across new industry verticals as well as expanded deployments among existing customers, as legal departments look for ways to bring contracts, litigation, intellectual property and legal notices into more connected workflows.

Founded in 2015, Legistify has spent more than a decade evolving from an early legal-services marketplace into a full-stack SaaS platform built around LegisTrak, its enterprise legal operations suite. Over that journey, the company’s technology stack has expanded to include Codex, an AI-powered workspace embedded across its four core modules: Contract Lifecycle Management, Litigation Management, IP Management and Legal Notice Management.

“Crossing 350 enterprise clients tells us the market has moved past experimenting with AI in legal ops and started depending on it,” said Akshat Singhal, Founder and CEO of Legistify. “Our focus now is making Codex handle more of that work on its own, without asking legal teams to trust it blindly.”

That framing of AI as something that has to earn trust rather than simply demonstrate capability reflects an important challenge for enterprise legal technology. Legal teams are not only looking for faster drafting, research or document review. They are also dealing with workflows where context is spread across contracts, disputes, intellectual property, notices and multiple stakeholders. For AI to become part of those operations, its value increasingly depends on how effectively it fits into the wider legal workflow.

Legistify has taken a broader approach to that problem by bringing Contract Lifecycle Management, Litigation Management, IP Management and Legal Notice Management into a four-module structure, with Codex operating across the platform. The proposition is not simply to add an AI feature to an existing legal process, but to create a connected operating environment in which legal information and workflows can be managed more centrally.

The company’s client base provides some indication of where that approach has gained traction. Legistify now works across sectors including e-commerce, FMCG, hospitality, manufacturing and retail, with organizations such as Decathlon, Dabur, Coca-Cola and Royal Enfield among the enterprises using its platform to manage legal workflows. That breadth gives the company exposure to industries with significantly different operational requirements and legal risk profiles.

Pratik Mohapatra, the company’s Co-founder and Chief Business Officer, points to a shift in who is initiating those conversations in the first place. “What’s changed is who’s calling us,” he said. “It used to be legal teams looking for a better tool. Now it’s CFOs and compliance heads asking how AI can de-risk their contracting process end to end.”

That shift from legal-team procurement to CFO-level scrutiny tracks with a broader pattern across enterprise software in India this year, where AI spending decisions are increasingly being pulled upward into finance and risk functions rather than left entirely to the department requesting the tool. For a legal ops platform, that means selling not just efficiency but auditability: the ability to show, not just claim, that AI-assisted decisions can be traced and justified.

Legistify has raised more than $5 million in funding to date, including a Series A round completed in September 2023, from investors including Y Combinator, Cathexis Ventures, Titan Capital, IndiaMart, Java Capital and GSF Group. The platform currently holds a 4.9 out of 5 rating on both G2 and Capterra, independent review sites where enterprise software buyers increasingly do their own due diligence before a vendor conversation even begins.

Whether Legistify’s growth curve holds through the next phase of India’s legaltech funding cycle is a separate question from what the 350-client milestone answers today. What it does confirm is that, in a market flooded with narrow AI features competing for attention, enterprises are still willing to bet on consolidation provided the platform earns the trust to be trusted with everything at once, not just the easiest problem first.
