Grand road show rally organized by Youth nation- ‘Say NO to drugs campaign’

Surat, [India] : On account of the nation’s 72th Republic day, Youth Nation gave the message of ‘Say NO to drugs’ to the country through a huge car rally. This is the seventh straight year since they started rallying to spread awareness among the youth. Members of various organizations in the city including Youth Nation and Surat City Police came together and successfully conducted the event.

The Say NO to Drugs Roadshow rally was led by the National Police at 5 pm from the civic amenities center, Athwalines, traffic police personnel and members of the city’s famous biking queens. It was flagged off by none other than BJP state president CR Patil. Traffic police and Bike Queens were followed by a convoy of luxury cars, with the message ‘No to Drugs’ written on all of them. The highlight of the roadshow rally was three 20-foot trailers were uniquely and beautifully decorated as they conveyed the message of NO to drugs to the public. On the auspicious occasion of Republic day, musical bands UDAAN and ACOUSTIC performed and sung patriotic songs. Famous singer Bhavin Shastri glorified the event with his melodious voice. Dignitaries including MLA Harsha Sanghvi, Jhankhana Patel, MP Darshana Zardosh, and Nirav Shah were part of the program.

Youth nation booked its place in the Gujarat book of records as it brought together more than 200 organizations for the same social cause. Vikas Doshi, the founder president of the Youth Nation Society said “Youth nation organizes a roadshow rally every year to bring the youth of the country out of drug addiction and to keep the youth away from drugs to bring awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse. We organized the rally for the seventh consecutive year with a great aim and message. On behalf of the Youth Nation team, I humbly appeal to every citizen of Surat to cooperate with the Youth Nation in bringing out the drug-demon from our city”.

The event was conducted considering COVID-19 guidelines and all the necessary precautions were taken. Vikas Doshi added “COVID-19 guidelines were fully followed in the rally. Only 100 people joined according to government guidelines, as well as masks and social distances were compulsorily followed. Sanitizers were also used”.
