Gaurisatva Ghee Elixir redefines skincare with Ayurveda inspired formulations for holistic well-being

Posted on March 24, 2025 By

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], March 24:  In an era dominated by synthetic beauty products and ever-changing skincare trends, Ahmedabad-based Gaurisatva is committed to bringing back the authenticity of Ayurveda. The startup, founded by Psychologist and Mental Health Advocate Ruchika A. Pandya, is redefining skincare with time-honoured Ayurveda-inspired formulations that prioritise purity and holistic well-being.

Having worked closely with women struggling with body image and self-esteem issues, Ruchika realised that unrealistic beauty standards were not only affecting mental health but also leading many to use harsh, chemical-laden products. Determined to change this narrative, she embarked on a journey to create Gaurisatva, a brand rooted in ancient Indian wellness traditions.

“Ayurveda has been a part of our heritage for thousands of years, but somewhere along the way, we started overlooking its true essence and ignoring its benefits. Our ancestors relied on natural, time-tested remedies, and Gaurisatva is an effort to bring those back in a way that resonates with modern consumers,” says Ruchika.

The brand’s first product is a face moisturiser based on Shata Dhauta Ghrita, a formula detailed in the ancient Charak Samhita. Using clean ingredients, without harsh preservatives or toxic chemicals, the product showcases the brand’s ethos of gentle yet effective skincare.

Gaurisatva is committed to sustainability, using ingredients gifted by nature and ancient recipes that have been passed down through generations. Its products are formulated to be safe and effective without compromising on authenticity.

“We need to go back to our roots and embrace skincare that is natural, non-toxic, and beneficial in the long run. India is the birthplace of Ayurveda, and while the world has embraced it, we must take pride in our traditions and integrate them into our daily lives,” adds Ruchika.

Currently available on the brand’s website (gaurisatva.com) and Amazon, Gaurisatva also plans to build a strong offline presence. The startup is collaborating with influencers, Ayurveda experts, and skincare professionals to spread awareness and educate consumers on the real power of natural healing. With plans to introduce Ayurveda-based body lotions, body mists and face washes, the brand aims to establish itself as a trusted name in nature-led beauty.
