Posted on December 11, 2021 By

New Delhi, December 11: A tripartite MoU was signed between Yadupati Singhania Vocational Education Foundation (YPSVEF) – an initiative by JK Cement, Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) and IG Drones on 25 November 2021

The MoU exchange was carried out in the presence of the honorable dignitaries – Mr. Piyush Chakrobarty, Officiating Head, ESSCI; Mr. Ashish Singh, Head Vocational Education & Skill Development, YPSVEF; Mr. Om Prakash Das, Chief Operating Officer, IG Drones – at ESSCI HQ, Delhi

The Yadupati Singhania Vocational Education Foundation (YPSVEF) is one of India’s most advanced and well-equipped skills training centres that have been instrumental in their work, i.e., developing human resources. They are now contributing to the Nation’s growth and development on technological and infrastructural fronts. Today, several trainees from these centres have turned out to be the brand ambassadors of skill development, transforming not just their own lives but also their families and communities.

IG Drones association with ESSCI dates back to August 2021, where they collaborated intending to upskill 10 million youth with the advanced Drone technology. Being aligned with the National Education Policy, the collaboration had widened the scope for imparting knowledge related to Drone Technology under Vocational Courses for different age groups with an aim to broaden the horizons for young children, facilitating their growth & improvement.

India is already on the path to emerging as a leader in drone technology. According to the reports by Drone Federation India, there are at least 100 drone manufacturers, 200 drone service providers and over 1 lakh drone pilots in India. And the drone industry is sure to generate around 5-7 lakh job opportunities for people all over the Nation. The only requirement is a cluster of youth, well equipped with knowledge related to drone technology.

” Drone Flying Simulators will power the Center of Excellence along with Industry Standard software to give a firsthand experience of drone flying and field training with safety gears. We also aim at providing performance-based placement support to the trained pilots.” Said Mr. Om Prakash Das, Chief Operating Officer, IG Drones

Started in the year 2018, IG Drones is one of India’s leading Enterprise Drone Solution providers for drone surveying, mapping & inspection by industry experts. The Drone Centre of Excellence (CoE) by IG Drones is a program to educate students about the newest drone technologies. Through its collaboration with several technical & skilling institutions across the country, it aims at training and enhancing the capabilities of Indian youth, preparing them for the oncoming Industrial Revolution.

“IG Drones COE is an educational arm of India’s leading drone enterprise solution provider IG Drones. The COE aims to train and upskill the youth for the future of drone technology to make them industry ready and empower India’s drone ecosystem with advanced drone technology skilled resources. I’m sure this collaboration will stand up to its main objective and play a pivotal role in shaping up the Nation’s youth and our greater goal of YPSVEF.” Explained Mr. Ashish Singh, Head Vocational Education & Skill Development, YPSVEF

The tripartite MoU is sure to beam a whole new varsity into the drone ecosystem in India.

Under this MoU, the parties agreed upon enhancing the training infrastructure of the institutes partnered with ESSCI as well as the young students at the vocational centres of YPSVEF with a common goal to make the future generations of the Nation skilled and capable enough to cope up with the rapid technological advancements.

Mr. Piyush Chakrobarty, Officiating Head, ESSCI, said, “In my opinion, collaborations like these will help the drone segment strengthen its roots in India. Though we have already established ourselves as a leading drone importing Nation with a great amount of usage in all spheres, proper skilling and employment opportunities are essential to ensure its long run. I’m looking forward to the benefits this collaboration is going to bring in.”

Thus, this collaboration aims to make the youth more aware of the transformation in drone technology, paving the way for a ‘developed’ nation. With the next wave of 10 million trained youth surging up with the newer drone ecosystem in place, India will soon be the Drone Hub of the World.

IG Drones COE is an educational arm of India’s leading drone enterprise solution providers, IG Drones, headquartered in Delhi. IG Drones COE aims to train and upskill the youth for the future of drone technology to make them industry ready and empower India’s drone ecosystem with advanced drone technology skilled resourcing. IG Drones has offices across 7 locations and has executed over 220 projects across more than 26 states in India in 13 different industries.
