IMS UCC Ghaziabad Hosts 6th International Conference on ‘Shaping Viksit Bharat @2047’

New Delhi [India], April 22: In a remarkable demonstration of academic excellence and thought leadership, IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) proudly organized the 6th International Conference on ‘Shaping Viksit Bharat @2047: Resilient Future Through Innovation, Sustainability, and Inclusivity’ (SVBRISI – 2025) on April 9–10, 2025. The sponsor of the conference was Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), served as a high-impact platform to bring together national and international scholars, researchers, and policymakers to chart the course toward a developed India by the year 2047.

The theme of the conference—Viksit Bharat @2047—is aligned with the national vision of transforming India into a self-reliant, inclusive, and sustainable global leader. Through this initiative, IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) reaffirmed its commitment to shaping the country’s future by leveraging the power of education, innovation, and collaborative thinking.

Inaugural Session with Esteemed Guests

The conference began on an inspiring note with the inaugural address delivered by Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Hon’ble Former President of India, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his thought-provoking speech, Shri Kovind underscored the importance of nurturing inclusive development, promoting technological advancement, and instilling a value-based education system to empower India’s youth to become nation builders.

He further emphasized that the vision of Viksit Bharat is achievable through strategic collaborations between academia, government, and industry, and called for academic institutions to play a central role in driving societal transformation.

Adding to the scholarly richness of the conference, Prof. (Dr.) Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of NETF, NAAC & NBA, attended as the Guest of Honour. He highlighted the critical role of education reforms, innovation, digitalization, and interdisciplinary learning in strengthening the nation’s foundation and making India future-ready. He encouraged students and researchers to focus on sustainable solutions, ethical leadership, and global competitiveness in their academic pursuits.

A Global Platform for Intellectual Exchange

The conference was organized in collaboration with three international academic institutions:

  • S P Jain School of Global Management, Mumbai
  • Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM), Spain, and
  • Kwangwoon University, Seoul, South Korea.

These global partnerships added depth and diversity to the dialogue, promoting cross-border collaboration and interdisciplinary exchange on pressing global challenges.

The two-day event served as a hub for knowledge dissemination and solution-driven research. The discussions revolved around key themes including innovation in education and industry, sustainable development, inclusive growth, entrepreneurship, policy frameworks, and technological adoption for resilience.

Participants represented a wide range of stakeholders, including renowned academicians, policy influencers, researchers, and industry leaders from various parts of India and abroad. Their presence and contributions helped elevate the discourse and align it with both national priorities and global academic standards.
