The Good Sage Launches India’s First AI-Based Vitamin D3 Assessment Tool – Free, 2-Minute Test Requires No Blood Sample

Posted on June 2, 2026 By Anjali Chatterjee

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 02: The Good Sage, the consumer health brand of Medisage Health — Asia’s largest doctor community platform with over 20 lakh registered physicians — today announced the launch of India’s first AI-based Vitamin D3 deficiency assessment tool. Available free of charge at knowyourd3.mymedisage.com, the tool delivers a personalised low, medium, or high-risk deficiency assessment in under two minutes — with no blood sample, no laboratory visit, and no cost to the user. The assessment portal can also be accessed instantly by scanning the QR code included with this release.

A Nation Deficient, Undiagnosed, and Unaware

India’s Vitamin D3 deficiency crisis is among the most widespread and most under-addressed health challenges the country faces today. Nationwide studies indicate that between 70 and 90 percent of Indians have suboptimal Vitamin D3 levels — with a Metropolis Healthcare analysis of over 22 lakh diagnostic tests confirming that 46.5 percent are clinically deficient and an additional 26 percent are insufficient. Approximately 490 million Indians are estimated to be deficient — a figure that dwarfs the entire populations of the United States and Germany combined.

Yet despite this scale, the vast majority of Indians have never been tested. The reason is straightforward: the standard diagnostic for Vitamin D3 deficiency is a serum 25(OH)D blood test, which typically costs between Rs. 800 and Rs. 2,000 at a diagnostic lab — and requires a clinic visit, needle draw, and a waiting period of 24 to 48 hours for results. For most Indians, the combination of cost, time, and access makes the test easy to defer indefinitely. The deficiency remains invisible until its consequences — persistent fatigue, bone pain, frequent illness, hair fall, and low immunity — become impossible to ignore.

The Assessment: Four Biomarkers, Two Minutes, Zero Cost

The Good Sage’s AI-based Vitamin D3 Assessment, now live at knowyourd3.mymedisage.com, was built to eliminate these barriers entirely. Using a scientifically validated framework of four proprietary biomarkers, the tool assesses an individual’s likely Vitamin D3 status with clinical precision — without requiring any biological sample.

The four biomarkers are:

  • Under-Eye Chromatic Fatigue Marker (UCFM) — evaluates periorbital pigmentation and fatigue indicators clinically associated with chronic micronutrient deficiency
  • Sun Exposure Signature (SES) — quantifies the quality and consistency of an individual’s daily sun exposure based on lifestyle and environmental context
  • Phototype Synthesis Score (PTS) — calculates Vitamin D3 synthesis capacity based on skin phototype, a clinically significant variable in tropical populations with high melanin density
  • Adiposity Ratio — assesses body composition factors that affect Vitamin D3 fat-sequestration and circulating bioavailability

Together, these four markers generate a personalised risk classification — Low, Medium, or High — delivered within two minutes of completing the assessment. The tool also provides contextualised guidance based on the individual’s risk profile, along with access to patient education content covering Vitamin D3 deficiency, its symptoms, clinical implications, and correction pathways — all presented in accessible, easy-to-understand formats.

The First Step in a Full Ecosystem

The assessment tool is the entry point into The Good Sage’s broader consumer health ecosystem. The brand — operating under the philosophy of Thoughtful Nutrition — is preparing to launch its flagship supplement product: the Good Sage Vit D3 Nano Shot, a Cholecalciferol Oral Solution of 60,000 IU in liquid nano shot format.

Unlike conventional Vitamin D3 tablets and capsules — which rely on fat-soluble absorption through the gastrointestinal tract with variable bioavailability and require the inconvenience of being taken with a fatty meal — The Good Sage’s nano delivery format encapsulates Vitamin D3 in nano-scale particles that pass through mucosal membranes more effectively, delivering measurably superior absorption with none of the conditions attached. The nano shot format is also significantly more convenient: a single ready-to-consume liquid shot replaces the need to track tablet schedules or meal timing. Published clinical research confirms that nanoemulsion-based Vitamin D3 delivery increases serum 25(OH)D3 levels by up to 73 percent compared to conventional coarse emulsion formats. For a country where most supplementation fails not because of dosage but because of delivery, the nano shot represents a fundamental formulation upgrade.

Founder Statement

Commenting on the launch, Bhagwat Dhingra, Founder and MD, Medisage Health, said:

“The biggest reason 490 million Indians remain Vitamin D3 deficient is not lack of sun — it is lack of awareness, and the barriers that prevent people from finding out they have a problem. A blood test that costs Rs.1,500 and takes two days is not accessible healthcare. A free, two-minute AI assessment that anyone can take on their phone is. The Good Sage was built on the principle of Thoughtful Nutrition — and thoughtful nutrition begins with knowing what your body actually needs. Knowyourd3.mymedisage.com is where that journey starts.”
