Trom Industries Secures Multiple Rooftop Solar Orders Totalling 42 MW Under PM Surya Ghar Yojana

Posted on July 11, 2026 By

Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], July 11: Trom Industries Limited (NSE- TROM | INE0SYV01018) a solar EPC and clean energy solutions company, announced the receipt of three purchase orders from South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited for the implementation of 42 MW of Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar Projects under the CAPEX plus RESCO Mode Utility-Led Aggregation (ULA) Model of the PM Surya Ghar – Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSG-MBY).

The projects collectively cover 38,561 consumer installations, each with a capacity of 1.1 KW, across the Aurangabad, Bhagalpur, and Biharsharif circles of South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL). The orders are scheduled to be executed within nine months from the date of signing of the respective Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).

Order Details

  • Biharsharif Circle: 17 MW covering 15,335 consumer installations
  • Bhagalpur Circle: 15 MW covering 13,290 consumer installations
  • Aurangabad Circle: 10 MW covering 9,936 consumer installations

These projects are being implemented under the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) model, under which Trom Industries will receive recurring revenue from power generation over the tenure of the agreements. This long-term revenue stream is expected to strengthen the Company’s business model by improving revenue visibility, enhancing cash flow stability, and creating a sustainable annuity-based income alongside its EPC operations.

These orders further strengthen Trom Industries’ participation in large-scale government-backed rooftop solar programmes and reinforce its execution capabilities in the utility-led residential solar segment. The projects are aligned with the Government of India’s vision of accelerating distributed renewable energy adoption through the PM Surya Ghar – Muft Bijli Yojana.

Commenting on the order momentum, Mr. Jignesh Patel, Managing Director of Trom Industries Limited, said: “These orders represent an important milestone in our participation in India’s rapidly expanding rooftop solar ecosystem. The PM Surya Ghar initiative is creating significant opportunities for experienced EPC players, and we are pleased to contribute to this national programme. Our focus remains on timely execution, maintaining high quality standards, and strengthening our presence across government-led renewable energy projects”
