ETS India and Crizac Partner to Expand Access to Authorised TOEFL and GRE Preparation for More Than One Lakh Study Abroad Aspirants

Posted on July 14, 2026 By

New Delhi [India], July 14: With more than 1.3 million Indians pursuing higher education overseas, demand for trusted admissions guidance has never been greater. As overseas education continues to expand beyond India’s metropolitan centres, students across the country are looking for greater access to credible admissions support and official test preparation resources. Responding to this growing need, ETS, the organisation behind the globally recognised TOEFL® and GRE® tests, has announced a strategic partnership with Crizac Limited to expand access to authorised TOEFL® and GRE® preparation resources for more than one lakh study abroad aspirants across India.

By bringing together ETS’ globally trusted expertise in educational assessment and Crizac’s extensive student network, the collaboration aims to make official preparation resources more accessible, enabling students to prepare with greater confidence for admissions to universities across leading global study destinations.

Through Crizac’s study abroad network, aspiring students will gain access to official TOEFL® and GRE® preparation resources designed to help them prepare more effectively for university admissions. The initiative combines ETS’ globally recognised assessment expertise with Crizac’s personalised counselling support, making high-quality preparation more accessible while helping students navigate a critical stage of their international education journey. Leveraging Crizac’s extensive global ecosystem of more than 14,000+ student recruitment partners  recruiting students from 85+ countries, relationships with over 500+ universities in 14+ countries, and support for approximately 4,00,000 student applications annually, the collaboration is well positioned to significantly expand access to official ETS preparation resources for Indian students pursuing higher education abroad.

The partnership reflects a structural shift in India’s international education ecosystem. As students move beyond a handful of traditional study destinations to explore a wider range of global opportunities, demand for trusted counselling, official preparation resources, and globally accepted assessments is growing rapidly, particularly across Tier II and Tier III cities. By combining Crizac’s technology-enabled recruitment ecosystem, which empowers recruitment partners and local counsellors to support students beyond metropolitan markets, with the TOEFL iBT® test’s acceptance at more than 13,000 institutions across over 160 countries, the collaboration will broaden access to high-quality preparation, trusted guidance, and a wider range of global education opportunities for Indian students.

The collaboration reflects the growing emphasis on strengthening student preparedness through trusted assessment and official preparation resources, as India’s role in the global higher education ecosystem continues to expand.

“India continues to be one of the world’s most dynamic study abroad markets, and students today are making more informed, purpose-driven choices about their international education. At ETS, our focus has always been on ensuring that every student has access to trusted assessments and high-quality preparation resources that enable them to present their best selves to universities worldwide. Through our partnership with Crizac, we are extending that commitment to more students across India by making authorised TOEFL and GRE preparation resources more accessible as they pursue their global education aspirations,” said Karan Lalit, Executive Director, South Asia, TOEFL & GRE, ETS.

“At Crizac, we believe talent should never be limited by access. Our partnership with ETS brings authorised TOEFL and GRE preparation resources to Indian students, backed by a shared commitment to scholarships and financial support for those who need it most. Nearly a lakh students stand to benefit — and for us, that’s a lakh stories of ambition we get to support”, said Dr. Vikash Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director, Crizac Limited.

The initiative is designed to integrate official TOEFL® and GRE® preparation resources into students’ study abroad planning, enabling them to access trusted learning materials alongside expert guidance as they prepare applications to universities worldwide. By embedding official ETS preparation resources across Crizac’s network of more than 14,000 recruitment and counselling partners in 85 countries, the collaboration will strengthen the quality and consistency of student guidance while expanding access to trusted preparation support for at least 100,000 students annually.

As part of its continued investment in India, ETS plans to expand its network of official TOEFL® and GRE® test centres from more than 65 today to 100 over the next year, strengthening access to its globally recognised assessments nationwide. Complementing this expansion, ETS will further strengthen its presence in Eastern India, where it currently operates three authorised test centres in Kolkata and plans to establish a fourth centre in collaboration with Crizac in 2027.
