IIM Amritsar, TimesPro Launch 5th Batch of Executive MBA to Cultivate Visionary Leaders of Tomorrow

Posted on March 5, 2025 By

Amritsar (Punjab) [India], March 5: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar, in collaboration with TimesPro, a leading higher edtech platform announced admissions to the fifth batch of its two-year Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme. This programme is designed to equip working professionals with enhanced leadership capabilities, strategic acumen and the skills needed to navigate dynamic and volatile environments effectively.

The EMBA programme combines the flexibility of a blended-learning format with an intensive curriculum that fosters data-driven decision-making, robust analytical capabilities and the agility to lead through organisational and digital transformation. It places particular emphasis on mastering global uncertainties through innovation, effective communication and conflict resolution, enabling learners to apply these key learnings across industries and strengthen their professional profiles.

The global executive education market, valued at USD 42.5 billion in 2023, is projected to grow at a CAGR of 12.7%, reaching USD 98.6 billion by 2030. This surge is driven by rapid technological progress, globalisation and evolving leadership demands. According to the Future of Jobs Report 2023, 23% of jobs will transform within five years, creating 69 million new roles. To thrive, leaders must cultivate skills like emotional intelligence, resilience, change management and technological literacy. An Asia-Pacific CEO survey further highlights that 97% of CEOs are reimagining their businesses, with 75% ready to embrace change, thus highlighting the need for upskilling to address skill gaps and drive sustainable growth amid evolving global demands.

Speaking on the launch of the EMBA, Dr. Vartika Dutta, EMBA Chair, IIM Amritsar said, “Our Executive MBA Programme is a testament to our dedication to shaping professionals who can bridge global perspectives with local relevance. With a focus on learner-driven pedagogy, the programme equips learners to become responsible leaders of tomorrow. It is tailored for working professionals and entrepreneurs and provides a unique platform to harness their potential, navigate complex challenges and deliver meaningful impact within their organisations.”

Sridhar Nagarajachar, Business Head – Executive Education, TimesPro said, “Our collaboration with IIM Amritsar reaffirms TimesPro’s dedication to providing transformative education that empowers professionals with cutting-edge leadership qualities and contemporary skills. This Executive MBA programme features a globally competitive curriculum designed to help working professionals thrive in their careers and lead with confidence in dynamic, evolving environments. Leveraging advanced pedagogy and practical insights, the programme is committed to nurturing leaders who are prepared to navigate the challenges of the future.”

The previous cohorts of the Executive MBA Programme have attracted professionals from a wide range of industries, including automotive, IT, pharmaceuticals, BFSI, marketing and research, hospitality, energy and petroleum, apparel, healthcare, telecommunications and the public sector. These learners held diverse roles such as software developers, IT analysts, managing directors, CXOs, senior managers, consultants, engineers, deputy general managers and marketing managers, among others.

The programme is structured in two phases. The first year establishes a strong foundation of core management skills, including entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, strategy, organisational behaviour and operations. In the second year, learners explore advanced topics such as security analysis, portfolio management and business intelligence alongside two electives tailored to learner profiles. Integrated field projects and capstone simulations further enhance learning, providing real-world applicability. Learners will benefit from three campus immersions during the programme’s tenure.

The programme’s pedagogy integrates case studies, role plays, simulations and project-based learning, ensuring a practical, application-oriented approach. Delivered via TimesPro’s state-of-the-art Interactive Learning (IL) platform in Direct-to-Device (D2D) mode, the programme offers learners unlimited access to class recordings and remote library resources. Upon successful completion, learners will also gain prestigious IIM Amritsar alumni status.
